Bottle Cap Magnets and Pendants

Now that I had my magnet boards, I needed some cute magnets to display my cards. I found a package of bottle caps at Michaels in the jewelry section as well as some clear plastic disk inserts, which fit perfectly inside. Both were made by Bead Landing, but the photo of the clear disks didn't turn out. I also purchased small magnets and some glue-on bails to make pendants for a necklace.

I used a 1-inch circle punch and some cute scrap paper left over from various projects to cut out paper to insert in the bottle caps.

At first I used a wet adhesive to adhere the paper into the bottle caps, but I found that a few started to rust. Instead, I simply used double sided tape to stick the paper in the cap, and then sealed the whole thing with the clear plastic disks, which were self-sticking.

For the magnets, I used superglue gel to adhere a magnet to the back of the bottle cap.

For the pendants, I used superglue gel to adhere a bail to the back of the bottle cap.
